My love of sewing began about twenty years ago when I was a Boy Scout leader. I had a troop of about fifteen boys who had earned plenty of merit badges and rank advancements, but there was just one problem: none of their badges and patches had been sewn onto their uniforms!
So, I taught myself how to sew and got to work with our sewing machine, one badge and patch at a time. It may have seemed like a small thing, but seeing those boys proudly wear their accomplishments made a lasting impression on me. What began as a simple act of service turned into a love for sewing that has stayed with me ever since.
Over the years, sewing has become more than just a hobby. It's a chance to slow down, enjoy a little quiet time, and create something with my own two hands. And if there's a little snow falling outside and a warm, cozy place to sew inside, all the better!
I've even passed the sewing bug along to my wife and our two daughters. One of my favorite things is seeing what everyone has been working on and sharing our latest creations with one another. There's something special about taking a little time to make something beautiful, useful, and uniquely your own.
That's the feeling behind Snowy Hearth Quilting Co. We believe there's a special kind of happiness in handmade things, in the comfort of home, and in making time for the things we love.
Whether you're sending us a quilt filled with family memories, a project you've spent countless hours creating, or something made simply because you love to sew, we're grateful you've found your way to us.
From our family to yours, welcome to Snowy Hearth. We're so glad you're here.
